After Effect Shows Off New Super-Diameter Bull Bars and Step Bars with Enhanced Mounting System and Finish at NFR 2014

Beefy five-, six- and seven-inch diameter After Effect bull bars and step bars feature more robust installation design and new, ultra-durable, two-step flat black coating that can now be mixed with chrome tube finishes at the buyer’s discretion.

LINCOLN, Neb., U.S.A. — Lincoln Industries, one of North America’s leading suppliers of high-performance metal finishing and engineered products, announced that it will be displaying its recently modified After Effect brand of large-diameter bull bars and step bars at two events surrounding the 2014 Wrangler National Final Rodeo (NFR) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev. After Effect products will be exhibited at the Wrangler Hollywood Theatre during the Wrangler NFR Countdown Show. A 2014 Dodge 3500 Mega Cab dually with five-inch chrome After Effect bull bars and step bars will also be on display near the entrance to the NRS Shopping Experience in the MGM Grand’s Marquee Ballroom.

The newly refined After Effect bull bars and step bars have an augmented mounting tab-and-bracket design that adds extra stability and security to every installation. Finish options have also been improved and expanded. The line’s black powder-coated products now undergo a two-step process that includes a tough epoxy undercoat and a TGIC powder topcoat that cross-links when heated to form a long-lasting, weather-resistant barrier. The new black finish has a flatter appearance than earlier versions.

“The After Effect product line is unique, and the large-diameter step and bull bars enhance the image of any large pickup truck,” Marc LeBaron, chairman and CEO of Lincoln Industries, said. “Our After Effect products are handcrafted in the U.S. for people wanting to have their pickups stand out in a crowd.”

Consumer choice has also been enhanced with the addition of new product finish options. Now, end users can choose all chrome, all black or a combination of both. Bull bars can be ordered with chrome hoop tubes and a flat black skid plate or vice versa. Bull bars and step bars can also be ordered in juxtaposing finish combinations and in all diameters. All step bars feature After Effect’s unique raised step design with infused rubber treads for better traction.

After Effect’s presence at the NFR events will be augmented with appearances by rodeo stars Stran Smith and Stetson Vest at the After Effect booth. Celebrity visits and autograph signing by both Smith and Vest will take place daily at the booth from December 4 through December 14.

“As a rancher and PRCA calf roper for more than 20 years, I am excited about the new After Effect products and the advancements in quality, design and materials that set them apart from the other products in the marketplace,” Tom Hance, president of Lincoln Industries, said. “As a one-ton dually owner, I love the functionality and styling of the product. If you drive big, you need to outfit your truck big, and After Effect bull bars and step bars fit the bill.”

After Effect bull bars and step bars dwarf other products by comparison. The five-, six- and seven-inch diameter round tubes are the largest in the industry. In its production of the After Effect line, Lincoln Industries calls on more than six decades of experience in metal forming and finishing. After Effect products are constructed of high-quality, heavy-gauge, corrosion-resistant tubular stainless steel. All tube bending, forming, chrome plating and finishing are done in America, in the town of Lincoln, Neb.

“We’re proud of our heritage as a truly American company, and we’re excited that this uniquely American-made product line has found so much favor since its introduction just a year ago,” Katie Haszard, director, branded products for Lincoln Industries, said. “Our new feature enhancements have taken great products and made them even better, and we think the NFR crowd will really relate.”

Lincoln Industries does rigorous testing to simulate real-world wear and tear on its products and components. The company performs its own Copper Accelerated Acetic Salt Spray (CASS) testing and abrasion testing with high-velocity particulate matter via a gravelometer. Lincoln employs an independent laboratory to perform fatigue testing. The company produces bull bars and step bars for end users of Ford, GMC, Chevrolet and Dodge brand trucks.

After Effect bull bars and step bars are easy to install and come in an all-in-one kit. The new products are available now in the United States and Canada. All After Effect products are backed by the company’s lifetime limited warranty.
