Rob Prior Exhibition at Russell Collection Fine Art Gallery in Austin, TX
AUSTIN, TX – March 10, 2015 – Renowned artist Rob Prior has announced his first exhibit of 2015 will be at the Russell Collection Fine Art Gallery this March, the 13th through the 21st, during the South by Southwest Festival. The gallery is conveniently located downtown at 1137 West 6th Street, Austin, TX, with viewing hours of 10am through 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
In celebration of all the music and entertainment talent that will be flooding Austin, the Rob Prior Exhibition will feature pop-culture-centric pieces such as Star Wars, Game of Thrones, a variety of music artists based works, as well as Rob Prior originals. “My heart and soul went into the paintings for this show,” says Prior, “I wanted to touch the depths and come out again; that’s what I feel I have done with the art.” With a career spanning over 30 years of gaming, comic, film, and television experience, Rob Prior is recognized as one of the top intellectual property painters in the industry.
As a Comic book artist Rob has worked with Marvel, D.C. Comics, Todd McFarlane, Kevin Eastman, Image Comics, and others with his most notable credits on Spawn, Terminator, Deep Space 9, Evil Ernie, Melting Pot, Lady Death, and Heavy Metal. As a self-taught master of two-handed speed painting, Rob Prior is able to feverishly create original fine art right before guests’ eyes.
