unprecedented image performance in confined spaces
CYPRESS, Calif. – (April 9, 2015) – The Christie® Ultra Short Throw lens makes its North American debut at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show April 13-16. With two 0.38 Ultra Short Throw Lenses – one each for Christie Q Series and the new 3LCD Christie D Series* – both projector Series’ deliver extraordinary installation flexibility for numerous fixed and rental staging applications, eliminating sightline and confined space challenges.
With its all-glass element lens, the Christie Ultra Short Throw Lens offers greater thermal stability and reduced image drift compared to lenses using plastic lens elements and, with the higher quality materials, Christie provides greater flexibility for designing panoramic multi-projector displays while delivering high brightness, lifelike images. The Ultra Short Throw Lens also incorporates features including motorized focus and optical abnormality adjustments for vibrant images without concerns over obstructions or line of sight.
“Using the Ultra Short Throw Lens, images ranging from 100 inches to 350 inches of diagonal screen size can be displayed with the projector only inches from your screen,” said Frank Anzures, senior product manager, Christie, “making it ideal for collaboration walls or panoramic displays.”
The 3-adjustment – one manual and two motorized – mechanism delivers improved focus performance with the tilt, pincushion and corner adjustments ensuring the image is always optimized. No special lamps are needed when using the Ultra Short Throw Lens in either portrait or landscape mode and it delivers superior performance even when displaying multi-array images.
