The Six-Part Documentary Gives Viewers a First Person Account From the Frontlines of
the Deadliest Year in Our Nation’s Longest War
“The Fighting Season”, a six-episode documentary series created and produced by Ricky Schroder, will premiere TOMORROW, Tuesday, May 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on DIRECTV’s Audience Network.
Inspired by the bravery of the men and women who serve our country in the United States military, actor/director Ricky Schroder and a small film crew travelled to Afghanistan to be embedded with the units on the frontlines for over three months, and documented their missions during the deadliest and most violent time in the war’s history.
The series gives an unprecedented look into the experiences of the US Army in Afghanistan as they work with Kabul police forces to secure polling sites and city borders, hunt down high-value Taliban targets, and work to ensure that more than thirteen years of sacrifice by American soldiers has not been in vain. “The Fighting Season” was produced by Ricky Schroder Productions and is executive produced by Schroder, Jim Rabon and John Paul DeJoria.
Tune in to “The Fighting Season” TOMORROW, Tuesday, May 19th, on DIRECTV’s Audience Network at 9 p.m. ET/PT for a special two-hour premiere. The official trailer can be viewed at: http://www.directv.com/premiums/audience/thefightingseason
