International jury describes the MOMENTUM 2 as being at “the pinnacle of its category and price”
Sennheiser’s MOMENTUM 2 have been honored with the “European Headphones 2015-2016” award by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA). The prestigious EISA Awards recognize the leading products in audio, imaging and mobile as chosen by Europe’s leading technology publications. The award will be presented to the winning manufacturers during an award ceremony held at IFA in Berlin.
Sennheiser’s MOMENTUM 2 headphones were recognized by the international EISA jury for their unique combination of uncompromised performance, pure design, and the finest, luxurious materials:
“Sennheiser’s MOMENTUM 2 over‐ear headphone builds on the success of its original MOMENTUM model,” noted the award citation, which also praised the headphones’ key features. “This new version offers larger cups and a foldable headband to make things easier for those using the MOMENTUM on the move. Other niceties include a higher quality in‐line microphone along with detachable cords, while the luxurious fine leather and brushed stainless steel of the original have been retained. Easy to drive and with an impressive bass, the MOMENTUM 2 manages the trick of sounding pleasingly rich yet also highly detailed when the music demands. This puts the MOMENTUM 2 at the pinnacle of its category and price.”
Commenting on the award, Maurice Quarré, Director Business Segments Select & Audiophile at Sennheiser, said: “Being recognized by EISA’s expert jury with this incredibly important award is a true honor. The MOMENTUM 2 sought to build on the achievements of the original, which brought together premium style with uncompromised performance. The EISA Award is a testament to the expertise and unremitting efforts of Sennheiser’s team of engineers and designers who work tirelessly to go further and deliver better. This is the essence of MOMENTUM.”
