Izegem, Belgium, February 2016 – Skyline Communications, global leader in end-to-end multi-vendor network management and OSS software solutions for the broadcast, satellite, cable, telco and mobile industry, announces record sales and industry milestone contracts for 2015, and continued plans for expansion in the coming years.
“We are proud to announce double-digit growth for Skyline Communications in 2015, across all regions globally, and this for the 10th consecutive time. And what’s more, for the 2nd year in a row, Skyline Communications was also listed as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the Deloitte Technology Fast50. A great achievement of an extraordinary team of very talented and dedicated ICT and broadcast professionals,” said Ben Vandenberghe, CEO of Skyline Communications. “2015 was beyond any doubt a very memorable year, with important industry milestone projects in partnership with leading companies such as Al Jazeera, RTRN, EBU, BT, NBN, Eutelsat and Telenor, just to name a few. Very clearly, nowadays everything revolves around sophisticated end-to-end orchestration of complex services, across any vendor and technology boundaries, and this based on standard off-the-shelf open-architecture network management software technology. A single consolidated management and orchestration layer is becoming one of the key strategic assets for operators, and increasingly even effectively defines their success.”
One of the cornerstones of Skyline Communications’ success is extensive innovation and technology leadership, driven by an ambitious vision on the future of end-to-end network management. While Skyline’s customers already gain significant operational and competitive advantages based on DataMiner’s current unique end-to-end service orchestration capabilities, the R&D teams are nonetheless already building the foundation of new next-generation solutions, revolving around a revolutionary take on proactive management. “We are making significant investments in advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence and data forecasting capabilities,” clarified Bert Vandenberghe, CTO at Skyline Communications. “We believe this is the technology that will form the foundation of successful and efficient management of the ever more complex, more agile and virtualized ecosystems that our customers will be dealing with.”
Last year, Skyline moved into a new landmark facility along the E403 highway in Izegem. This year, they will already start the construction of their adjacent expansion, which will be a 50-meter-high, 12-story, state-of-the-art office tower. “We continue to be very committed towards our long-term technology leadership in the field of end-to-end multi-vendor network management and OSS for the HFC broadband, satellite, broadcast, IPTV and mobile industry. This new facility will provide us with the physical space required to support our continuous growth,” said Frederik Vandenberghe, CFO at Skyline Communications. In the wake of Skyline Communication’s expansion in 2015, which resulted in a permanent regional presence in 8 pivotal countries around the globe, a new R&D facility has already been opened in Portugal. Moreover, a global recruitment plan has been launched to hire 70 ICT and broadcast professionals.
