ATEME today announced that Argentina’s Non Stop, a leader in content development for TV and audiovisual services selected ATEME TITAN solution to encode its HD and 4K-UHD content, to be delivered to their customers in different types of file formats -like Apple ProRes .mov or JPEG 2000 IMF- matching Netflix technical specifications. On this occasion, ATEME partnered with IPLUSB, a leading provider of digital and audiovisual solutions for TV, cinema and radio in most of the Latin American countries.
TITAN File is a multi-codec/format video transcoding software for mezzanine, STB and ABR VOD, post-production, playout and archive applications. It is a truly virtualized software-based solution, hardware agnostic, delivering high video quality at high density. The TITAN File video transcoder now supports Apple ProRes decode and encode in all profiles, including Apple ProRes 4444 XQ. TITAN File is also capable of generating QuickTime MOV files for encapsulation. This feature can be implemented in a wide variety of workflows like editing, archive, or mezzanine delivery, for example – including the most demanding ones involving High Dynamic Range (HDR).
“We strive to deliver the highest video quality to our customers”, said Patricio Rabuffetti, Non Stop’s owner. “This is the key reason why we chose ATEME, together with HDR capabilities as their solution supports all the existing technologies. We now have a highly flexible solution to service major customers globally, in terms of file formats able to be processed, in terms of resolutions -from SD to UHD-, and in terms of available outputs -from mezzanine to OTT. On top of this the flexibility that ATEME TITAN gives us let us offer our processing services in the Cloud, following a global tendency on this matter.”
Leonardo Rocco, Sales Director at ATEME said: “ATEME TITAN with HDR support has already been largely approved, adopted and deployed by various tier 1 broadcasters, content producers like Non Stop and service providers all around the world. Main reasons are the ease of use, the operational flexibility it provides, and because it greatly simplifies powerful premium HDR workflows.”
