Audi kicked off the 68th Emmy Award Season by hosting many Emmy nominees and other VIPs at it’s exclusive Pre-Emmy Party at Catch, West Hollywood’s newest restaurant hot spot. Emmy nominees and VIPs were greeted on the red carpet by a sparkling silver 2017 Audi R8.
Audi has returned, once again, as the Official Automotive Sponsor & Vehicle Provider for the 2017 Emmy Awards. The appearance of a chauffeured Audi, such as the 2017 Audi Q7, at any Emmy event signaled the arrival of an Emmy nominee or VIP to the red carpet. The Audi 2017 R8, a VIP itself, made several special red carpet appearances during Emmy week. It also greeted attendees at the Performers Nominee Reception across the street at the Pacific Design Center.
Auto News was on the red carpet at Audi’s Pre-Emmy Party and had a chance to ask Emmy nominees and VIPs about what they look for in a car.
Modern Family’s Ariel Winter shared her preference for “I want a car that is safe, drives well and whatever…I’m a pretty simple person.” Ariel is known for knowing how to capture attention on the red carpet with her fashion.
Constance Zimmer, Emmy Supporting Actress Nominee for “UnREAL” where she plays the role of a demanding executive commented: “I think comfort, and how smooth it drives” is what is important.
“I love comfortable cars… car time is my only relaxing time, so I like a good stereo, comfortable seats, smooth ride and clean car” shared golden model and actress Blanca Blanco seen often on the arm of legendary actor John Savage.
“I look for style, I look for speed, I look for sleek…..which is why I love Audi.” smiled Carly Steel, an actress and host of Entertainment Tonight.
The Audi R8, modeled after the R8 LMS racecar, like those found on the Emmy red carpet, look like they have been transported from a racetrack of the future. It is equipped with all the latest Audi technology, including the Audi Virtual Cockpit, and either a powerful 540-hp V10 engine or a 610-hp V10 plus engine that will certainly make your heart race if you ever have the chance to experience it. Similar to the exclusiveness of having won an Emmy or being at the latest Hollywood hot spot before it opens, the Audi R8 is for those that know how to live life to its fullest.
