Following its most successful growth year in its ten-year history, Portland based consumer technology publisher Digital Trends announced today that it will deliver the 5th Annual Top Tech of CES Awards and offer over 30 hours of live news coverage of the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show, taking place January 5-8, 2017 at a brand new booth to be unveiled at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Throughout the show, the Digital Trends editorial team will be broadcasting live on its site, YouTube, and Facebook from booth #SL-4. Featuring dozens of guests from leading brands such as GE, Samsung, ZTE, Sony and HP as well as roundtable discussions on the newest gear, hands-on demos of hot gadgets, and one-on-one interviews with the people behind the products, the Digital Trends booth will be the best way to dig into all the trends from the biggest tech event of the year.
“This year’s CES will be bigger than ever, and so will our presence at the show” remarked Jeremy Kaplan, Editor-in-Chief of Digital Trends. “Not only will our editorial team be working around the clock to cover all the news, but we’ll have special guests, and in depth interviews with the top brands from the show, ensuring that Digital Trends will help make CES more engaging than ever before.”
Digital Trends has partnered with several key influencers to report on its behalf throughout CES. Stephanie Stricklen, anchor of KGW News at Sunrise and David Cogen, better known to his fans as The Unlockr, will both be in attendance discussing the latest and greatest achievements in technology.
The Digital Trends Top Tech of CES Awards will also be presented by the editorial staff for the fifth year in a row. Award entries are judged by editors on innovation, practicality, and design. Awards will be presented in 16 product categories including automotive, home audio, and wearables, among others. Digital Trends’ Spanish-language site, DT Español, will bestow a Latin Innovation Award for best new product from an exhibitor with Latin heritage. Top Tech Award winners will walk away with a #CyberStag, a custom 3D-printed stag trophy created by Recon Northwest and an homage to Digital Trends hometown and headquarters in Portland, OR.
Additionally, Kaplan and members of his editorial staff will serve on CES panels discussing wearable technology, automotive tech, and the digital lifestyle, and will join the CTA for a roundtable discussion of hot trends.
Lastly, in partnership with MediaLink, Digital Trends has created a comprehensive CES show guide and will lead tours for select top executives from leading Fortune 500 companies attending the show. For those who can’t make it to CES 2017, Digital Trends will also compile an ICYMI Digital Briefing Book to provide clients with all the must-see tech from the convention.
Digital Trends, an official media partner of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), also announced that sponsors for their coverage throughout the four-day conference include Best Buy among others.
