Alban Dechelotte, Head of Sponsorships & Business Development EU at Riot Games discussed the renewals in a release: “We’re humbled by the fact that so many of our partners from 2019 have chosen to renew their trust in the LEC in 2020. We believe in building long-term partnerships, which set the basis for a strong and sustainable LoL esports ecosystem in Europe. Most importantly, each of these partners bring additional value to the LEC in unique ways, thereby elevating the viewership experience for all LEC fans.”
Other sponsors of the European league for the upcoming year include gaming chair brand AKRacing, Chinese live streaming platform HUYA, gaming PC manufacturer Alienware, and automobile giant Kia Motors.
Esports Insider says: We’re not surprised to see all of these companies return to the LEC for another year considering the breakout year it had in 2019. It’s even more encouraging to see most, if not all, of the sponsors expand their presence and involved in the league for the entire year.
