Esports operations company Esports Engine has found its Head of Strategic Partnerships in Arica Kress.
Kress will start working alongside the company’s business development and client services departments on April 20th.

Kress joins Esports Engine after garnering years of experience in traditional sports, most recently serving as an event consultant for the U.S. Soccer Federation. Her past experience included roles as Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Columbus Crew SC and Event Producer for Copa America Centenario.
Esports Engine has expanded rapidly after it launched late last year. Operating under Vindex, an esports infrastructure platform founded by Mike Sepso and Sundance DiGiovanni, Esports Engine is led by Adam Apicella, a founding employee of MLG.

Esports Engine works with several franchises from both of Activision Blizzard’s franchised leagues, Call of Duty League and Overwatch League, producing homestand events. The esports calendar has been affected heavily, however, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier this year, the company announced that it would handle the global esports efforts for Microsoft’s upcoming Halo Infinite. The Halo Championship Series is set to return with plans to “build the greatest esports program Halo has ever seen.”
Esports Insider says: With plenty of international events experience in traditional sports, Kress seems like a good fit for Esports Engine’s aggressively-expanding operation. The company has done an impressive job thus far and each hire it makes only strengthens the promise it has shown.
