DreamHack hears clearly with DTS partnership

Tournament organiser DreamHack has established a partnership with audio technology company DTS for the remainder of 2020.

The deal specifically covers DreamHack’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive events, DreamHack Masters and DreamHack Open.

The partnership commenced with February’s DreamHack Anaheim and will continue through DreamHack Atlanta and DreamHack Winter. DTS is looking to expand its footprint in esports and will establish “further partnerships and opportunities” according to a release.

Roger Lodewick, Co-CEO of DreamHack, spoke on the deal in a release: “It is always amazing to create new partnerships with fellow innovators in this industry. Just as DreamHack is proud to be a pioneer in the growth and development of the esports industry over the last 25 years, DTS has been inventing and delivering audio solutions for mobile devices, home theater systems, cinema and beyond in a similar time frame. This month, online bookmaker Betway entered a sponsorship deal with DreamHack that started with DreamHack Masters Spring on May 19th. The Nevada Gaming Control Board released a notice of approval that permitted wagers on this exact event just two weeks prior.

Esports Insider says: DreamHack has done a good job in securing partners like DTS and Betway despite the obvious difficult setting when it comes to hosting events. Despite having to pivot to online play, it’s clear that brands find DreamHack’s offering attractive.
