Riot Games has appointed Portugal-based esports management company Inygon as the Portuguese broadcast partner of the LEC.

As part of the deal Inygon will broadcast the entirety of the LEC Summer Split, which commences on June 12th.

No financial terms of the deal have been disclosed, nor is the length of the agreement known. While the LEC does not have any Portuguese-based teams among its 10 long-term partners, it has forged the deal to deliver “more of the kind of innovation and entertainment that our European League is known for.”

Inygon is perhaps best known, in the context of League of Legends, as the producer behind LPLOL – the official League of Legends competition in Portugal, which is part of Riot Games’ European Regional League system.

Riot Games struck a similar broadcast deal for the LEC in April, announcing Esport1.hu as the Hungarian broadcast partner of the league.

Earlier this week, the LEC secured KitKat as a main partner and replaced AKRacing with Secretlab as its official gaming chair partner.

Esports Insider says: It’s good to see Riot Games accommodate for viewers and fans that may not natively speak English, thus creating a better spectating experience for them throughout the split. Inygon is a sensible choice considering it already operates within Riot Games’ European ecosystem.
