Vivo is a brand of Telefonica Brasil, which itself is a subsidiary of Brazilian telecommunications company Telefonica. Keyd Team launched in 2012 and, between 2014 to 2016, the organisation competed as Vivo Fibra Keyd Stars. It was renamed to Vivo Keyd in October 2017.

Marina Daineze, Image and Communication Director for Vivo, spoke on the extension: “The renewal of this sponsorship reinforces our already consolidated presence in eSport and our position as a reference operator in the game market in Brazil. We seek to be closer to this audience, guaranteeing the best experience in broadband and offering ultra-speed and stability with a stable and high-tech network.”

Vivo Keyd is also partnered with BS2, OEX Game, FIAP, Make-A-Wish, APOIO, Warrior Computadores, and DXRacer. Perhaps best known for competing in League of Legends, the organisation also fields teams in Garena Free Fire and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Esports Insider says: This is an encouraging development for the organisation in particular, as well as esports in Brazil – which is showing signs of growth and a solid presence globally.
