UK-based organisation Resolve Esports has secured investment from Esports Global, an investment group owned by International Group Management (IGM).
The investment is headed by David Martin and Chester King, and is intended to help Resolve establish new esports teams, offer online coaching, and create a physical esports centre in London for the training and development of new players.

Resolve started as a community of gamers in 2015, before the esports team was founded by Ilias “Rai” Pajoheshfar last year. Player development is core to its ethos and to that end, Pajoheshfar is hoping this investment will allow Resolve to grow the local scene.
“Resolve is committed to supporting grassroots development within the UK and around the world,” he said, “so I’m excited to have Dave and Chester from Esports Global on board.
“We share an exciting vision for what Resolve can be, and with our shared expertise we can compete with the top teams in the UK and Europe and lead the way in esports player development. We’re very ambitious and, with our focus on quality and innovation, we aim to have a positive impact on the esports ecosystem and cement ourselves as an organisation for the future.”

Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of the announcement is the reveal of an upcoming esports training facility based in London, which was described as “part of Resolve’s long-term vision” in a release. More information on the centre’s opening will be revealed at a later date. Martin, Director of Esports Global and Co-owner of RektGlobal’s Call of Duty franchise, London Royal Ravens, has also joined Resolve as a Director.
Martin said: “Chester and I have been mentoring Ilias for the last two years and, during this time, we’ve been impressed by his knowledge, passion and dedication. The overall decision to invest was an easy one and we look forward to supporting the growth of both Ilias and Resolve.”
Esports Insider says: Congratulations to Resolve; we’re looking forward to seeing how the company utilises its new investment and what kind of training space it is able to build. UK esports seems to be on the rise!
