BOSTON & SAN MATEO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Litmus, a leader in email marketing, today announces the winners of the inaugural Email First Excellence Awards recognizing teams using email to drive business outcomes while providing value for subscribers and customers. The awards were a new component of this year’s Litmus Live Week, the premier conference for email practitioners and marketing leaders.
“At Litmus, we understand how challenging — and rewarding — email marketing can be,” said Erik Nierenberg, CEO of Litmus. “We see the email community not only tackling those challenges every day but emerging successfully. This is the impetus behind the Email First Awards, to recognize and celebrate the people embracing those challenges by putting email first.”
The Email First Awards are composed of eight different categories, each set to showcase teams driving positive business outcomes by putting email first. The awards were open to teams around the world for any email campaign that launched or was active between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019. All submissions were due by August 31, 2020, and then reviewed by a panel of seven email marketers.
The categories and corresponding winners include:
- The Email First Excellence Award: AutoNation for its Text4Credit submission
- The Coach Award: Yanna-Torry Aspraki
- The Email Spirit Award: Digital Additive
- The Workflow Wellness Award: RAC for its Preventing Email Breakdown at the RAC submission
- The Innovator Award: Email Boutique for its Code Before Design submission
- The Data Storyteller Award: Altos
- The Content Converter Award: American Cornhole Association for its Say hello to the all-new… submission
- The Visual Visionary Award: Action Rocket for its BBC Young Offenders Solus submission
“At Digital Additive, when we do something, we do it right; that’s why “Damn Good Email: has become our unofficial motto,” said Kimberly Coburn, Senior Copywriter at Digital Additive, recipient of the Email Spirit Award. “This motto appeared on everything from coffee mugs to our holiday gift. And, when COVID hit and we could no longer work beside our office family, our bosses surprised each of us with a cooler bag full of items emblazoned with “Damn Good” – reminding us that the dedication we have cultivated to email extends beyond it to our commitment to one another and to our clients, even in rough weather.”
Honorable mentions were awarded to most categories as well. All entries were judged against objective qualifications including quality of copywriting, hard numbers and measurement of performance against goals, the effectiveness of imagery and visual appeal, and internal/team collaboration practices, to name a few. Not all qualifications applied to all entries.
