Hong Kong rapper, singer, and dancer Jackson Wang has invested in Macao esports organisation, Victory Five.
The deal was announced during the organisation’s opening ceremony for its home stadium.

Victory Five unveiled the partnership with Team Holding, a company owned by Wang, on September 7th during the ceremony. Wang is well-known for being a member of the South Korean boy group Got7, though he’s also an acclaimed solo artist and television host.
The ceremony saw the organisation also unveil a partnership with Shenzhen Media Group and move its team headquarters to Shenzhen, according to LPL.

Victory Five is one of 17 organisations that competes in the LPL, the premier Chinese competition for League of Legends from Riot Games and Tencent. The team placed fifth in the summer season of the league and also competes in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG).
Korean pop artist Heechul invested in BRION E-Sports, a Korean organisation that competes in Riot Games’ LCK, in June. Just a month later, another Korean pop artist, Sehun, acquired an ownership stake in SeolHaeOne Prince.
Esports Insider says: Esports and celebrities are becoming best of friends around the world – just look at the past month. Not only has Wang invested in Victory Five, but singer Post Malone invested in Envy Gaming. These relationships open up avenues for esports organisations to expand their audience and grasp more attention from the mainstream.
