The rapid growth of sim racing has been one of the highlights of the esports industry in 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic put real-world motorsport on hold for the first half of the year and saw a range of championships, including the Australian Supercars Championship, take to the virtual track to offer a form of competition between its drivers and provide entertainment for fans.

Esports Insider says: Racetech joining forces with one of the largest sim racing teams in the world makes a lot of sense, especially when it has just released new sim products.
