OpTic Chicago names Mavix as exclusive chair partner

Through the exclusive partnership, Mavix will outfit every OpTic Chicago player and personality with an M-series chair for competitive and recreational use.

Mavix will also serve as a sponsor of OpTic’s weekly CDL Pre-Show, debuting at the start of the 2021 season.

The branding of Mavix will also be featured at the new NRG Content Castle and Heczquarters. In turn, OpTic will connect Mavix to the #GreenWall family through custom content, streams and exciting giveaways.

Hector “H3cz” Rodriguez, OpTic Chicago CEO commented: “Really psyched to be worked with Mavix. As esports evolves, so will the techonologies surrounding it and I’m happy that something that I utilise on a daily basis for hours on end is one of those things.”

Mavix is also giving away chairs as part of OpTic’s ongoing 12 Days of Christmas celebration.

The partnership between the two builds on a pre-existing relationship between Mavix and OpTic Chicago’s CEO, Hector ‘H3cz’ Rodriguez and star player Seth ‘Scump’ Abner, who have both served as ambassadors since the brand’s launch last month.

Mavix has tapped marketing agency/brand studio Zoned Gaming to come on as partners in the business, working closely to develop the firm’s brand identity along with its marketing and digital strategy.

Matt Hillman, Founding Partner at Zoned Gaming added: “There is no name more historic in esports than OpTic and we couldn’t have imagined doing Mavix’s first team partnership with anyone else.

“With HECZ and Scump being such vital pieces to our launch, a partnership with the team was a natural move.”

Esports Insider Says: This deal probably comes as no surprise, as two of the people behind OpTic Chicago had already been announced as ambassadors for Mavix. On a side note, it is nice to see Hector Rodriguez immediately getting back into the rhythm of things with the organisation.
