Sports data provider SportsModule and its subsidiary, tournament organiser 247 Leagues, have been announced as the latest members of the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC).
As members of ESIC, both companies are now bound by the commission’s integrity programme. Furthermore, 247 Leagues will integrate ESIC’s integrity codes and standards into its tournament operations to encourage sporting integrity across events hosted on its platform.

Ian Smith, Commissioner at Esports Integrity Commission, commented on the announcement: “We are excited to welcome 247 Leagues as a member of ESIC. 247 Leagues’ commitment to ESIC is reflective of their pledge to maintain integrity in their esports operations.
“We believe it is important to collaborate with tournament operators such as 247 Leagues in order to facilitate the continual harmonisation of competitive integrity efforts in esports.”
According to the release, 247 Leagues earned the membership due to tournament organiser’s ‘dedication to adopting and promoting ESIC’s Integrity Program’ along with its further assistance in the ‘greater fight against cheating and corruption across esports competitions’.
Robert Verschoyle, Founder of SportsModule added: “We are delighted to start a partnership with ESIC, which fits perfectly with our ambition to be a leading international esports organiser with a trustworthy and transparent brand.
“247 Leagues aims to cater perfectly to the high integrity requirements of all our customers. We welcome a more regulated esports market and see our membership with ESIC as vital in helping to support this process.”

Operating since 2020, 247 Leagues was founded by SportsModule to host daily tournaments across various esports titles. The tournament organiser claims to have its players participate from a single venue under the sight of overseeing supervisors to ensure the highest levels of integrity control.
Esports Insider says: ESIC’s membership continues to expand as a great number of companies in the industry agree that maintaining the integrity of esports is necessary. It’s great to see more members joining, even more, that it is becoming a standard for new organisations.
