A1 esports League Austria announces paysafecard as premium partner

Prepaid payment service paysafecard has been announced as a premier partner of the A1 esports League Austria, a multi-title domestic esports competition.

The partnership will see both entities focus on promoting Austria’s local esports scene through the use of various fan activations.

One of the activations revealed is the launch of the ‘A1 esports Hall of Fame presented by paysafecard’, a virtual hall of fame that will honour all previous champions of the domestic esports league. The hall of fame is expected to open its digital doors in the coming weeks.

A1 esports and paysafecard will also organise gaming quizzes, via social media, and provide collaborative content during the league’s group phase.

As Harfmann stated prior, the partnership will introduce the A1 esports paysafecard Challenge, a new second screening offering for fans during league broadcasts. The A1 esports paysafecard Challenge will allow participants to take part in weekly gaming and esports quizzes, challenges, raffles and team votes. Throughout the second screen offering, fans can win prizes that range from vouchers to exclusive A1 esports merchandise.

According to the press release, the A1 esports League Austria has more than 15,000 participants and offers competition’s across several titles such as League Of Legends, Brawl Stars, Clash Royale and VALORANT. In 2021, the league launched a Pro Series and Amateur Series in order to provide a separate competition for up-and-coming players and talents.
