The board comprises four top executives from some of the world’s biggest companies. These are: Bernhard Mogk, SVP of Business Development at ESL; TQ Jefferson, the Chief Product Officer of Survios; Snapchat’s Head of Games Pany Haritatos; and Jen MacLean, Head of Worldwide Business Development, Small and Mid-sized Studios, Game Tech at Amazon Web Services.
These four board members join BITKRAFT — an investment company that specialises in gaming, esports and interactive media — to help strengthen key areas such as business development, entrepreneurship, scaling, and technology, according to a release.
TQ Jefferson, formerly the Vice President at Disney’s Games & Interactive Experiences group, has helped companies leverage IP in gaming, including that of TV show ‘The Walking Dead’ as well as cross-media IP like the Marvel Universe and Pixar.
As the Chief Product Officer for Survios, TQ Jefferson ‘defines the product roadmap as the company transitions from startup to AAA developer’, as stated in a release.
Pany Haritatos of Snapchat is a long-time game entrepreneur, formerly of game publisher Kongregate that was subsequently sold to Modern Times Group (MTG).
Jen MacLean leads the worldwide business development for small- to mid-sized game studios at Amazon Web Services, helping them to ‘leverage the power of cloud technologies to build great game experiences and scalable live operations’, according to the release.
Bernhard Mogk, as SVP of Business Development at ESL, is an esports-industry veteran. He has been responsible for group-wide B2B revenue, building and overseeing all commercial units, and much more.

“Our new advisory board will make invaluable contributions to the fund and its portfolio companies as they bring extensive entrepreneurial and technological experience as well as a wide network of relationships in the game industry,” commented Jens Hilgers, Founding General Partner of BITKRAFT Ventures. “We are excited to introduce a board that is actively driving change in the gaming ecosystem.”
BITKRAFT currently has over 50 companies in its global portfolio, including Bayes Esports, Epic Games, Epics.gg, H4X, Queens Gaming Collective, Strafe, and The Story Mob.
Esports Insider says: BITKRAFT has prioritised diversity of opinion for its impressive advisory board; while all are incredibly successful in their own right, each specialises in something slightly different, whether that be entrepreneurship, helping small- to mid-sized game developers scale effectively, or the esports industry. BITKRAFT is one of the foremost investment firms in the esports space. It’s no surprise to see them doing smart things.
