GEN.G and IMG Academy announce VALORANT summer esports camp

Multinational esports organisation Gen.G has partnered with performance and educational institution IMG Academy to host a VALORANT summer esports camp.

The week-long summer camp for high schoolers is set to take place from August 15th – 22nd at the IMG Academy headquarters in Bradenton, Florida.

According to the release, the camp will feature a number of activities, including seminars with esports coaches and athletes, team building sessions, as well as meeting Gen.G’s VALORANT team.

Chris Park, CEO of Gen.G Esports, commented: “We are excited to supercharge IMG Academy’s groundbreaking experience for high schoolers who love esports. This camp — for which Gen.G will provide financial support to select qualified students — blends the absolute best in athletic and esports training like never before.

“There’s a lot that we can learn from IMG in terms of how to help prepare athletes mentally and physically, and we are excited to help these students achieve sustained success in and out of the classroom through their love of gaming.”

In addition, all campers will receive PC gaming peripheral set-ups provided by peripherals brand ROCCAT. These set-ups will include a Kone Pro wired mouse, Elo 7.1 USB gaming headset, Sense AIMO XXL mousepad, and the newly-released Pyro Mechanical RGB Gaming keyboard.
