In their new roles, Emery will work towards strengthening the collective brand globally and Grushkin will drive new revenue opportunities.

Justin Kenna, CEO of GameSquare, said: “Our lofty growth ambitions have underscored the need to hire the industry’s best as we continue to scale. Olly and Christina will play an integral role in this effort, developing innovative ways for Complexity and GameSquare to better service our fans, players, and partners.”

Prior to joining Complexity, Emery served as CMO at Hubrick where he oversaw the market model that supported FaZe Clan. He will now leverage his expertise to build upon and evolve Complexity’s marketing initiatives and to grow the company’s fandom worldwide.

In her previous roles, Grushkin served as Senior Director for Client Strategy at Twitch and most recently as VP of Brand Partnerships at StreamElements. As such, she has vast experience in identifying new business opportunities to diversify the organisation’s revenue streams.

Emery and Grushkin join Complexity’s growing management team, which has recently seen the addition of three directors across partnerships, creative, and video.

Since the organisation’s acquisition by GameSquare in June 2021, Complexity has expanded its footprint in content creation with the signing of popular streaming personality Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar.

It has also bolstered its portfolio of competitive teams with the addition of an all-female VALORANT roster ‘GX3.’

Esports Insider says: Complexity is boosting its team of executives with two experienced hires. Emery and Grushkin seem like a good fit for Complexity and it’ll be interesting to see how the organisation’s expansion efforts are strengthened as a result of their appointments.
