Nicecactus launches FIFA22 tournaments with McDonald’s

Gaming tournament and training platform Nicecactus has announced a partnership with McDonald’s to deliver a series of FIFA22 tournaments.

As part of the deal, the two entities will organise seven qualifiers for the eSports Cup presented by McDonald’s in six countries: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait.

According to the release, the tournament series will feature a $25,000 (~GBP18,945) prize pool.

Mike Hessabi, CEO of Nicecactus, commented: “We are incredibly fortunate to host the eSport Cup presented by McDonald’s. GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) is the fastest-growing region in the gaming industry, we are delighted to collaborate with McDonald’s to deliver a multi-territory gaming tournament.”

Professional esports players from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and influencers, including Saudi player MsDossary, are reportedly affiliated with the eSports Cup.

Moreover, players who qualify for the finals will benefit from dedicated coaching sessions with MsDossary, who won the 2018 FIFA World Championship.

Earlier this year, Nicecactus partnered with French Nike licensee Ekinsport for a series of tournaments in 10 esports titles – including FIFA22. Nicecactus also joined forces with the Danone Nations Cup to host a Rocket League tournament available to players in five continents.

Esports Insider says: Nicecactus continues to grow within the esports ecosystem of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). By securing a strong partnership with McDonald’s and launching the eSports Cup, Nicecactus is set to reach new audiences and increase its popularity in the region.
