“Michelle is an amazing successor. I am extremely proud of the process we went through together and excited about my own outlook as well as that of Newzoo, the company that Thijs and I founded almost fifteen years ago.”
Prior to joining Newzoo, Wilk-Rouhof worked for 15 years at Activision Blizzard. Her roles at the company included Sales Manager, Sales Director, General Manager for CEEMEA and Benelux, and most recently, Vice President for CEEMEA and Benelux.

Wilk-Rouhof commented on her new role in a seperate LinkedIn post: “I’m excited and honoured to be taking over the role of CEO from Peter Warman. I joined the company 2 years ago as the Commercial Director and I’ve enjoyed every minute since. I feel at home here; Newzoo is unique, fast-paced and fun.
“We operate right in the heart of the games industry, and every day we get work with the greatest companies and minds in the world. To lead our global team with the brightest, most talented, and passionate people is a dream come true. I thank the founders Peter Warman and Thijs Hagoort for this amazing opportunity. We have a bright future ahead of us!”
Esports Insider says: According to Peter Warman’s own words, the leader of a company as big as Newzoo needs to be more than an entrepreneur and innovator at heart. With many years of experience in various executive positions, Michelle Van der Wilk-Rouhof seems like a great choice for the role.
