Both executives will report to Ned Watkins, TSM’s Senior Vice President of Sales. As TSM’s new Vice President of Sales, Insolera will be responsible for building and leading the organisation’s internal sales team.

Boyd’s responsibilities as TSM’s new Head of Research and Insights will include ownership of all things related to research and data at TSM and its sister company Blitz. Moreover, he will oversee all of the company’s data-driven efforts in the sports and media landscape.

Prior to joining TSM, Boyd spent more than five years working for North American data and measurement company Nielsen, most recently as its VP, Head of Esports and Games.

Boyd commented on his hiring: “I’m fired up to join TSM. Having closely supported gaming and esports clients for the last 6 years I’ve had a unique view into where the industry has been and where it’s going.

“I’ve also gathered an understanding of what the TSM brand and legacy represents in the space. Esports is driving the entire sports landscape forward and TSM continues to be part of the vanguard as it harnesses data and an innovative spirit to guide the next evolution of the business.”

Insolera served previously as VP, Global Partnership Sales at BSE Global, where he led the partnership development business for the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, among others. Prior to that, he spent eight years in sales and leadership roles with the New York Yankees.

Insolera also commented: “The value proposition in esports is undeniable; it has proven to deliver huge, hard to reach and highly engaged audiences, and the growth is only just beginning.

“I am honoured to join TSM, a global leader in the industry, and look forward to helping more of the world’s best brands unlock the power of esports through this iconic and innovative organisation.”
