A new trailer is out for The Wonder, an upcoming Netflix psychological thriller starring Florence Pugh. In the movie, set in the 1860s, Pugh’s nurse examines an 11-year-old girl who claims not to have eaten for four months. Pugh’s character, Lib, is determined to find out the truth.
“Do you know the dangers of a prolonged fast?” Lib can be heard asking young Anna, portrayed by K?la Lord Cassidy, in the trailer.
“I don’t need to eat,” Anna says. “I live on manna, from heaven.”
The Wonder is scheduled to hit Netflix on Nov. 16. You can watch the trailer below.
The movie will also hit select theaters on Nov. 2. It’s directed by Sebastian Lelio and based on a book of the same name by Emma Donoghue, author of Room.
Pugh is an Oscar-nominated actress who’s starred in films including Little Women, Midsommar and Black Widow. Her latest movie, Don’t Worry Darling, made headlines for its alleged behind-the-scenes drama. That film arrived in theaters on Sept. 23.
