A Concert for Veterans and the Military Families
This week, Miss America 2015 Kira Kazantsev had the honor of attending the Lincoln Awards: A Concert for Veterans and the Military Families in Washington, DC. An All-Star Concert was held at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts where the entertainment community gathered to celebrate our military, veterans, wounded warriors, caregivers and military families while saluting the Lincoln Award recipients.
The event was presented by The Friars Club through its Foundation and worked closely with veterans and government representatives to build this historic event. Throughout the evening, Kira met with military representatives and joined some of the biggest names in music, comedy, film and television, including Nick Jonas, Gavin DeGraw, Jerry Lewis, Harvey Keitel, and Brian Williams. It was an evening of true celebration to recognize outstanding achievement and excellence among our military and all who support them and their families.
