BURBANK, CA –Jan. 20, 2015 –KCET, the nation’s largest independent public television station serving Southern and Central California, presents Season 10 of the popular BBC police drama, NEW TRICKS. This season is centered around Detective Superintendent Sandra Pullman (Amanda Redman), who out of desperation to put her fledgling police career back on track, recruits three seasoned veterans to re-examine unsolved crimes. The new season begins on KCET on Monday, Feb. 2 at 8 p.m.
Led by Pullman, a detective in disgrace after mishandling a hostage situation, she recruits three retired detectives with over 80 years of service between them. Adapting to new 21st century police strategies, not to mention working under a tough woman with her future on the line, isn’t easy, as the three discover with plenty of comic relief.
This season adds to its stellar cast and welcomes a few new faces. But first, DS Pullman and her loyal team—Gerry Standing (Dennis Waterman), Brian Lane (Alun Armstrong), and Steve McAndrew (Denis Lawson)—will solve their final cases together, bringing justice to decades-old murders that stumped London’s Metropolitan Police.
After Brian’s reckless behavior endangers his place on the team, brainy Danny Griffin (Nicholas Lyndhurst) steps in and rubs the rest of the squad the wrong way. Later, Pullman makes a choice that means a new boss for the department: feisty, fearless DCI Sasha Miller (Tamzin Outhwaite).
