Swisstrax Modular Flooring Installed in Renovated Petty Museum

As the Petty Museum moved back to its original home in Level Cross, North Carolina last year, it received a complete renovation which would ensure a museum experience that reflected the rich heritage and history of NASCAR legend Richard Petty and the family businesses including Petty Engineering and Petty Enterprises.  With many design considerations, Swisstrax modular flooring was selected to grace the 7,000 square feet museum floor.
Selecting Swisstrax Diamondtrax tiles in Slate Grey color, the flooring is installed throughout the museum which features Mr. and Mrs. King from Disney Pixar’s Cars, the “Daytona” exhibit, the 1967 Plymouth Belvedere alongside the trophies won that same year, the 200th win car and all ten NASCAR championships.  Spearheading the renovation effort was Rebecca Moffitt, daughter of Richard Petty and Executive Director of the Petty Family Foundation.  On selecting Swisstrax, she said, “Swisstrax flooring is a great complement to the Petty Museum decor. I like the flooring especially because it is durable and easy-to-clean.”
A family operation, “The King”—Richard Petty—also commented on the new Swisstrax flooring at the museum, “I am pleased with the durability and low-maintenance of the Swisstrax flooring. This ensures that our Petty Museum visitors will have a sharp looking floor to walk on for years to come as they navigate and enjoy the exhibits.”
“Being the flooring choice of the Petty Museum is a validation of the quality of Swisstrax products,” said Randy Nelson, President and CEO of Swisstrax Corp. “We are proud to have gotten the seal of approval from Ms. Moffitt and Mr. Petty.” Signed as a licensed partner of Petty’s Garage in 2013, Swisstrax continues to offer products which reflect the esteemed motorsports brand.
