‘Satellite 2015’ exhibit to feature world’s first all-electric satellite in Washington, D.C.
WASHINGTON, March 12, 2015 – Boeing [NYSE: BA] will showcase its recent achievements in satellite technology, including its all-electric propulsion 702SP (small platform) satellite, at the Satellite 2015 Conference & Exhibition, March 16-19 in Washington, D.C.
In addition to the 702SP, the Boeing exhibit at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center will feature displays showcasing examples of the company’s technology advancements.
Boeing is sponsoring the Satellite Executive of the Year luncheon on March 18 featuring honoree Dan Berkenstock, the founding CEO of Skybox Imaging and current head of product and partner development at Skybox at Google. Craig Cooning, president, Network and Space Systems, will speak at the event.
Additionally, Boeing is participating in two conference panel discussions:
- Jim Simpson, vice president, Network and Space Systems – “Investor Roundtable: The Hunt for Returns,” March 16, 1:30 – 2:45 p.m.
- Mark Spiwak, president, Boeing Satellite Systems International – “Manufacturing 2.0 – Unveiling the Cheaper, Quicker, Flexible, High-Powered, Longer-Lasting Satellite,” March 17, 3:00 – 4:15 p.m.
