Endemol Shine North America announced today the production company’s lineup of television and digital properties to be showcased at the 2016 Licensing Expo, including the upcoming CBS series “Hunted,” FOX’s unscripted competition “Superhuman,” animated global sensation “Simon The Cat” and returning hit series “MasterChef,” “MasterChef Junior” and “Kingdom.”

As part of the world’s largest independent production group, Endemol Shine North America is proud to bring licensing opportunities for its properties across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Categories available to licensees include consumer and digital products, gaming and gambling, publishing, and live experiences.

“We are thrilled to introduce new and expanded licensing opportunities to Licensing Expo 2016,” says Tamaya Petteway, Senior Vice President, Brand and Licensing Partnerships, Endemol Shine North America. “With a diverse portfolio across unscripted, scripted and digital platforms, we continually strive to offer our licensing partners quality programs for our viewers to experience and further interact with their favorite series.”

“Hunted” (CBS) is a new one-hour alternative unscripted series that is set to debut on CBS during the upcoming 2016-2017 TV season. Participants are challenged to disappear as some of the world’s most highly-skilled investigators and trackers pursue them in a national manhunt. “Hunted” is based on the wildly popular UK format that has consistently ranked #1 in its time period across all younger demographic groups and doubled its primetime average share in key demographics for British network Channel 4. The series is now being developed in 7 territories. The “Hunted” format was created and produced by Shine TV. The U.S. series is produced by Endemol Shine North America.

“Simon’s Cat” (Digital) is an animated series from British animator Simon Tofield featuring the mischievous and often hilarious antics of a fat white cat and his long-suffering owner – Simon. “Simon’s Cat” is a character that millions around the world have taken to their hearts. First launched as a black and white animation series on YouTube in March 2008, the series has been “the feline internet phenomenon” with a presence in 100 countries. “Simon’s Cat” has become the second largest global ‘Pets and Animals’ YouTube channel by subscribers and in the top 10 animation channels on YouTube with 755 million views so far and 3.9m subscribers. The digital series is available in more than 20 distribution platforms and produced by Endemol Shine UK with licensing support from Endemol Shine North America.

“Superhuman” (FOX) is a one-hour unscripted competition series hosted by Kal Penn that is set to debut as an original series on FOX during the upcoming 2016-2017 TV season. “Superhuman” tests the abilities of ordinary people who possess distinct, nearly super-human abilities in fields such as memory, hearing, taste, touch, smell and sight.  Originally produced by Endemol Shine Germany as “The Brain” (currently in its sixth season), the competition series has been a breakout format globally in China (third season), Italy (second season), Brazil (second season), Spain and, most recently, France (third season), where the premiere delivered top ratings for its network. The U.S. marks the seventh territory where the format will launch, and further global interest is picking up.

Additionally, Endemol Shine North America will continue to showcase current brands such as “MasterChef” (FOX) and “Kingdom” (Audience Network).

“MasterChef” (FOX) is America’s No. 1 cooking competition show in which acclaimed chefs Gordon Ramsay and Christina Tosi search for the best home cooks in America. Abrams, publisher of “Claudia’s Cocina: A Taste of Mexico,” from the winner of Season Six; “Everyday Fancy,” from the winner of Season Five; and “My Italian Kitchen,” from the winner of Season Four, will develop the Season 7 winner cookbook.

In partnership with Life Journeys and Holland America, the second MasterChef Cruise will be returning to the Caribbean November 6-13, 2016, with a new and elevated lineup of entertainment and activities, including Mystery Box Challenges as seen on the show, cooking demonstrations by the “MasterChef” All-Stars, meet-and-greets and autograph signings, trivia games, interactive challenges and specialty breakout sessions.

“Kingdom” (Audience Network) is a visceral family saga set against the backdrop of the renegade subculture of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). The critically-acclaimed drama brings the action to life through a partnership with 3 Doors Entertainment, 360 Studios and Tatem Games to produce a global console and mobile game. The console game is set to be released in 2017. The mobile game is set to release Fall 2016.

Meet the Endemol Shine North America Licensing Team at the 2016 Licensing Expo at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, Booth #O252. The show runs from June 21-23, 2016.
