Simonson has previously worked as Manager of Merchandise Marketing for GameStop, and had a 10-year stint at The Walt Disney Company as a National Media Sales Executive.

Envy Gaming competes and produces content across multiple gaming titles including Overwatch, Call of Duty, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite, Paladins, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

The organisation recently announced plans to expand its headquarters and establish a training facility at Victory Park in Dallas, Texas. The facility will house all of its operations, including its two localised franchises.

Esports Insider says: An impressive resume suggests that Simonson has the experience to tackle this new role. With franchise spots in the Call of Duty League having reportedly cost buyers $25m (GBP19.1m) each, the pressure is on to provide sponsors with quality activations and reap back some revenue.
