Kevin Wimer, Chief Marketing Officer of Rivalry told Esports Insider: “We are really excited to be partnering up with Beastcoast to help put South American Dota on the map. They’re an amazing team with a fantastic fan base. We are thrilled to support them! We are looking to not just be a logo on a jersey. We’re creating some amazing content together to show the world what South American Dota is all about!”

The organisation’s Dota 2 roster is most well known for clinching an eighth-place finish at The International 2019 under the Infamous banner, prior to beastcoast’s acquisition of the players. The placement netted the roster $858,252 (GBP660,497.87) in prize winnings.

Launched in February 2018, Rivalry has made a splash through partnerships with the likes of Fnatic, FURIA, and journalist Richard Lewis. beastcoast has added the bookmaker to its list of partners, joining CORSAIR, ZOWIE, Respawn, and INTERVENT.

Ramon “Swadow” Lopez, LATAM Lead for Rivlary commented on the deal in a release: “This partnership will be very positive for the team’s fans. We will be bringing quite exclusive content with the goal of showing everyone around the globe aspects of what the SA Dota scene is made of. I think world-wide people have yet to know how much passion there is for this game here and we will be here to show that, with other events and [activations] we will be announcing during the year. I can assure you this will be super fun.”

Esports Insider says: They say big things come in small packages, and Rivalry’s partnership with beastcoast may be a nod to just that. Bookmakers have historically opted to partner with well-oiled, tier one organisations, although, it only seems fitting for Rivarly to take a gamble on this up-and-coming group.
