The cooperation was initially announced in January 2018 and, at the time, was said to mark the first sponsorship of an individual player by a bookmaker in Counter-Strike.

innocent joined Polish organisation Illuminar Gaming in July last year and has since won Games Clash Masters in Gdynisa and the autumn edition of the ESL Polish Championship – the team also successfully qualified for WESG 2019.

Mateusz Juroszek, CEO of STS shed light on the bookmakers decision to extend the sponsorship: “Esports entered the top ten of the most frequent bets made by our punters, and it is still growing in popularity. STS also sponsors x-kom AGO, another Polish CS:GO team, and provides support for Damian “Nervarien” Ziaja, a League of Legends personality.

Esports Insider says: Individual player sponsorships remain something of a rarity in esports, but the continuation of this cooperation suggests that STS is finding success with innocent acting as an ambassador of the brand. Could we see more deals of this kind in the future? It’s likely…
