Warriors Gaming Squad and Wingstop will active the deal through the “WGS Wins, You Score” campaign that sees fans of the team in the Bay Area awarded with the opportunity to receive boneless wings each Monday following a win.

Hunter Leigh, Head of Golden State Warriors Esports, spoke on the partnership in a release: “Wingstop has been a fantastic partner with the Golden State Warriors, and we are thrilled to expand the relationship to the Warriors’ esports family. We are excited to offer Bay Area fans a new way to celebrate with every Warriors Gaming Squad win this season.”

Warriors Gaming Squad is also partnered with Chase, the consumer and commercial banking arm of J.P. Morgan, after entering a three-year deal in April last year. Chase’s branding is featured on the team’s home court as part of the alliance.

Zaxby’s has established multiple partnerships in recent months, working with Overwatch League franchises Florida Mayhem and Houston Outlaws, as well as the High School Esports League.

Esports Insider says: We’re seeing casual food restaurants, such as Wingstop, getting involved with esports more and more recently – presumably because it’s one of the main sources of entertainment for many during the COVID-19 pandemic.
