German organisation BIG has brought in mineral water brand Volvic as a partner of its League of Legends team.
BIG competes in the German-speaking League of Legends competition Prime League.

The deal will see Volvic create “information and educational content” that provides insight into the team’s everyday life. Earlier this week, Prime League announced a partnership with Levi’s.
Daniel Finkler, CEO of BIG, spoke on the agreement in a release: “The partnership with Volvic is an exclamation mark in German Esport and an award for our success in the League Of Legends. Volvic stands for high quality and sustainability. With Volvic’s efforts to protect the climate and the environment and its commitment to social responsibility, Volvic is a role model for sustainable corporate action worldwide. These were the main reasons for us to continue our way in Esport with Volvic. Together we want to support our team sustainably and strengthen it in the long run.
“With Volvic, we have the right partner at our side to build on our past successes in the coming Prime League season. Numerous activities with our professional players are already planned, and we are looking forward to the first games of the season.”

Outside of Volvic, BIG is partnered with Red Bull, Betway, OMEN by HP, SkinBaron, CORSAIR, Backforce, and Blocksport.
A representative for Volvic also commented: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with one of the most successful German esports clubs, Berlin International Gaming. Through this long-term commitment in League Of Legends, we would like to make our contribution to the development of esports alongside BIG.
“With the start of the Prime League, we hope for an exciting season and look forward to many joint activities with the community and the professional players of BIG in Berlin!”
Esports Insider says: Volvic is well-known in general terms so this is a good grab for BIG, especially considering the deal is specifically focused on its League of Legends team which is not in the main European competition – the LEC.
