Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles, Vice President of Brand at B Site, commented in a release: “We’re excited to join the VALORANT Ignition Series with Pop Flash. B Site is honored that we can help to lay the foundation for a brand new global esport in a way that sets a standard for sustainability and future success. Pro team organisations are just beginning to find their footing in this new arena and events like this will be a crucial stepping stone for player recruiting and team development.”
The competition will have a $50,000 (GBP38,436.25) prize pool and feature five of B Site’s founding partners: Cloud9, Dignitas, Gen.G, Immortals, and Team Envy. The other three competing teams are Team SoloMid, Sentinels, and T1.

VALORANT, launched in beta in April ahead of a full release in June, does not yet have a formalised ongoing esports structure beyond the Ignition Series. However, many prominent esports organisations have been signing VALORANT teams and players in anticipation of a major push for the team-based shooter.
Riot Games has partnered with many different tournament organisers, esports teams, and content creators around the world to host Ignition Series events thus far, including G2 Esports, Red Bull, WePlay! Esports, and FaZe Clan.
Esports Insider says: So far, the Ignition Series has been a smart way to spread the budding love for VALORANT around the world and across a wide array of notable esports teams and tournament organisers. We’re certainly curious to see what will come next for VALORANT after this last North American competition and how B Site will make itself stand out from the rest as it aims to do in CS:GO.
