Kicking off a new focus on esports facilities, Jason Lake, Founder & CEO of Complexity Gaming, joins Adam Fitch on the fifth episode of ESI Focus.
Lake is responsible for one of the most prominent and iconic organisations in the entirety of esports. Perhaps best known in recent times for building a “juggernaut” in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, what is oftentimes understated is Complexity’s investment in player development – this begins with its headquarters.
The GameStop Performance Center is arguably the most developed facility in esports when it comes to player performance – Lake walks us through all of the rooms in the centre and the companies that are involved in making it as effective as can be. Lake and Fitch also discuss the location of the facility, if it will ever be profitable, and how it will adapt over the years.
As well as being housed on YouTube, ESI Focus is available on all major podcast platforms.
In the first four episodes of ESI Focus, Fitch was joined by Puma’s Matt Shaw, Ateyo’s Rachel Feinberg, We Are Nations’ Patrick Mahoney, and Team Liquid’s Travis Anderson to delve into esports apparel.
Last week on ESI Focus, Fitch was joined by Patrick Mahoney, CEO of We Are Nations, to discuss enhancing team merchandise and the company’s venture with Complexity Gaming.
