Partially motivated by how COVID-19 has changed live events and fundraising, the new working relationship will see OverActive’s OAM Live division assist CauseForce in the organisation, operation, and delivery of digital, online and virtual events geared towards fundraising.

Chris Overholt, President and CEO of OverActive Media, commented in a release: “We are really proud of this new initiative, a collaboration we think can be a beacon of hope for the fundraising sector during these challenging times. Our in-house, full service, digital technology capabilities are exactly what organizations are looking for as we all pivot to more online experiences together.”

The two organisations have hit the ground running, with their first collaboration already occurring on August 29th for a virtual Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer cycling fundraiser.

Bev Deeth, COO of CauseForce, noted: “There is no doubt that the behaviours of non-profit supporters have changed due to the global pandemic and this partnership directly addresses that shift. We’re combining CauseForce’s expertise, passion and results-driven strategies with the tremendous technical capabilities of OAM Live to reach online audiences globally. Together we will provide truly innovative digital solutions to non-profits that will deliver engaged donors and impactful fundraising results.”

Esports Insider says: It’s always interesting to see partnerships between esports organisations and the non-profit and charity sector. Judging by the first collaboration OverActive appear to be providing its services to CauseForce’s pre-existing events, but how the two organisations work together on esports focused charity events will be intriguing.
