The platform’s first initiative will be its ‘alpha class’, which will commence on Monday, November 9th. The six-week-long free class will include two meet and greet calls with Chen, a virtual hosted event every two weeks, and mentorship from a variety of experienced veterans in the industry.
Overall, the initiative looks to educate participants who have just started their esports journey, whilst also tailoring to those looking to take the step in the sector.
Eunice Chen, former VP of Marketing at Cloud9 and Founder of Enlight.gg, commented: “I’m thrilled to be combining my work experience and passion for helping others to build a community of knowledge transfer in esports. Enlight is the platform I wish I had for guidance and education when I was growing up as a gamer, dreaming of working in the industry.

“My goal is to remove barriers for esports veterans to share their knowledge, and for the next generation of esports professionals to access this learning.”
According to the platform’s website, some of the topics that will be highlighted and taught include understanding the esports ecosystem, career strategy, talent management and acquisition, plus social media management.
Moreover, the platform will also provide industry tracks on esports law, tournament organisers, and event talent to ensure that education is given to strengthen the overarching esports ecosystem.
Esports Insider says: Platforms like Enlight will hopefully help to increase the professionalism of the esports industry. As the sector’s participation numbers and popularity grows, it is equally as important to ensure that its business structure is solid, and that individuals are learning and are taught to excel in crucial roles that esports needs.
