theScore Esports named Demacia Championship English broadcast partner

Toronto-based media company theScore Esports has been named the exclusive English language broadcast partner for the Legends of Leagues Pro League’s (LPL) Demacia Championship, an annual, 24-team Chinese League of Legends event.

theScore Esports will stream the Demacia Championship tournament, which runs from December 20th – 27th, on the company’s YouTube and Twitch channels from its Toronto headquarters. The event is the media firm’s initial foray into live event broadcasting.

The Demacia Championship is hosted by TJ Sports, a joint venture between Tencent & Riot Games, which operates and manages the League of Legends’ Chinese outfit, LPL. The competition is the first professional event of the LPL’s competitive year.
