Esports Insider is pleased to announce a partnership with simulation racing event organiser World Pro Racing.
The partnership will see ESI become WPR’s official international news publisher with the intention to help strengthen and develop coverage around the sim racing sector.
ESI’s Co-Founder and Managing Director Sam Cooke spoke on the collaboration: “We’re excited to work more closely with World Pro Racing. The sim racing space has gained a lot of traction in recent times, especially through 2020, and it’s undoubtedly an area we are keen to offer more comprehensive analysis and coverage on!
“We look forward to seeing and being a part of WPR’s continued growth in this sector.”
At the beginning of the global health pandemic, a variety of esports took centre stage due to many traditional sports postponing its events and competitions. One of the sectors that grew during this period of uncertainty was sim racing with many professional drivers taking to the virtual tracks.
Since then, media entities have teamed up with sim racing tournament organisers to broadcast events, one major example being BT Sport striking a partnership with the V10 R-League. Moreover, racing teams such as Red Bull Racing and BMW Motorsport have bolstered its esports divisions over the last few months.
World Pro Racing is yet another firm who has seen growth over the last few years. In 2020 the event organiser partnered with peripherals firm HyperX and has secured broadcast deals with the likes of ESTV, Motorsport.tv and TVM Sports.
Justin Mifsud the CTO and Founder of World Pro Racing, added: “I’m very excited about this partnership. Having a solid news publisher such as ESI will add a boost to WPR’s growth and exposure globally.”
