The partnership includes players from both sides sharing travel stories while also giving fans an insight into ‘a day in the life of the players as they travel around the world competing in esports events’.

HotelPlanner has also been named the Official Hotel Booking Partner of Immortals’ LCS team and MIBR’s CS:GO side.

An IGC spokesperson stated: “Our Immortals and MIBR teams are excited to partner with HotelPlanner, a true leader in the global travel industry. As travel resumes, we are confident that HotelPlanner will provide best-in-class service to our teams and passionate esports fans globally as they travel to root for their favourite teams and players.

“HotelPlanner’s partnership with IGC illustrates its commitment to support the rapidly growing esports ecosystem.”

In addition to the content, Immortals and MIBR players will also be given ‘aid in choosing the best hotel options around the world’ as a result of the partnership. The esports organisation has stated that during the pandemic unnecessary or unsafe travel by the company, leagues, and local health officials will be prohibited.

“HotelPlanner will assist fans attending tournaments worldwide by making great tournament rates available from hotels and other accommodations types. HotelPlanner will bring online and in-person travel together to create the best fan experience.”

The partnership continues to develop IGC’s list of sponsors with the likes of Progressive, the Toyota Dealers Association in Southern California, and BLNQ all partnering with the organisation.

Esports Insider says: IGC has yet again managed to strengthen its commerciality through the signing of another sponsor. What is interesting to note is that not only is the organisation securing more partners, but they are ranging across a variety of industries, thus highlighting how IGC’s teams are developing esports’ perceptions in different industries.
