MENLO PARK, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dali Wireless, Inc., a worldwide pioneer in digital radio distribution systems and digital predistortion technology, today announced that it has received three significant decisions from the United States Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), which rejected the arguments of CommScope Technologies LLC’s petition regarding U.S. Patent No. 8,682,338, and John Mezzalingua Associates, LLC d/b/a JMA Wireless petitions regarding U.S. Patent Nos. 9,820,171 and 10,334,499.

Upon consideration of the petitions, preliminary responses, and additional briefing submitted by the parties, the three-judge panel denied the respective petitions on the merits. Both CommScope and JMA failed to demonstrate reasonable likelihood that they would prevail with respect to at least one of the claims challenged in the petition.

“This is a substantial win for Dali and also for our legal team at Folio Law Group,” said Albert Lee, CEO of Dali Wireless. “The PTAB’s decision further solidifies the validity of Dali’s innovations. We will continue to invest in, and protect, our ever-growing patent portfolio.”

Dali’s dedication to innovation has resulted in the company being granted over 500 global patents and pending patent applications. In addition to providing broad coverage on digital predistortion and radio frequency (“RF”) distribution technology, Dali’s patents are critically important to enabling 4G, 5G and virtual Radio Access Network (vRAN) technologies.
