PPFA Installs 2015-16 Board of Directors


(Las Vegas, Nev., February 6, 2015) Members of the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) elected the 2015-2016 Board of Directors during the Jan. 25-28 PPFA 2015 Annual Convention in Las Vegas.

Robin Gentry, MCPF, B&J Gallery, Bowling Green, Kentucky, will serve a second year as association president. William Parker, MCPF, GCF, William Parker Designs, Nashville, Tenn., will serve as immediate past president.

Ellen Collins, MCPF, Howard’s Art & Frames, Hagerstown, Md., is vice president; and Greg Norris, CPF, Huntington Hall of Frames, Huntington, W.V., is treasurer. Fran Gray, MCPF, Roney’s Creative Picture Framing & Gallery, Florence, S.C., will serve as past president.

Serving as directors are: Joyce Michels, MCPF, Michels Frames & Things, Saint Robert, Mo.; Carol Graham, FrameReady by SoftTouch Solutions Inc., Petrolia, Ontario, Canada; Jared Davis, MCPF, GCF, Megawood Larson-Juhl Australia and GUNNAR International; Randy Parrish, CPF, Randy Parrish Fine Framing & Art, Ann Arbor, Mich.; Harry Gaston, CPF, Gastonart & Frame, Shrewsbury, Mass.; and Sarah Beckett, MCPF, SB Framing Gallery, Milwaukee, Wis. Georgia McCabe, CEO and Executive Director of PMA, Jackson, Mich., holds the office of secretary.

“I’m honored to serve a second term as President of PPFA,” Gentry said.  “PPFA is a growing community of framers working to advance the profession of picture framing around the world through education and networking. We have a dedicated group of individuals serving on our Board and I’m excited to work with such a talented and committed group of professionals to accomplish our goals this year. We welcome all framers to join our Association.”

PPFA also recognized outgoing board members: Immediate Past President John Pruitt, CPF, The Frameworks, Carrollton, Texas; Treasurer Mike Drury, MCPF, South Hill Gallery, Lexington, Ky.; and Director David Lantrip, MCPF, GCF, Franchise Concepts Inc., St. Louis, Mo. Former PPFA Executive Elaine Truman was also honored with an award for her many years of service to the Association.
