Today, the Miss America Foundation Board of Trustees announced the unanimous appointment of two new Trustees.

Nina Davuluri, Miss America 2014 and Dan Meyers, Vice President of the DCI Group. Dan has been working with the Miss America Organization on supporting the communications strategy and public relations efforts while emphasizing the organization’s education mission.

Nina has had the incredible opportunity to travel across America promoting “Celebrating Diversity through Cultural Competency.” She has spoken with over thirty colleges and universities about Cultural Competency including: Yale, Duke, University of Pennsylvania, University of Michigan and will be speaking at Harvard on Monday as part of her consciousness-raising efforts on behalf of diversity. In addition, she has a partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of Education promoting women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) related fields. She has worked with many charities in the U.S. and India advocating for equality and education and continuing her work and enhancing the quality of education for the future generations in both the US and the developing world. Nina and Dan will begin service on the board immediately.
In addition, Regina Hopper, MAO Board Member and former Miss Arkansas was unanimously appointed as Chair of the Miss America Foundation Board of Trustees. Board members include Lynn Weidner, Josh Randle, Tammy Haddad, John Bermingham and Sam Haskell.
