LOS ANGELES – March 19, 2015 – AXS TV is gearing up for the 2015 music festival season with a robust interactive microsite, launching today, Thursday, March 19. Logging on to www.axs.tv/festivals, viewers will have access to broadcast alerts, blogs, lineups and more, giving them everything they need to know in time for the network’s exclusive coverage of Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, Stagecoach, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Rock On The Range, and Firefly. Starting Wednesday, April 1, viewers will be able mark the days with an on-air countdown clock, leading up to the season kickoff at Coachella on Friday, April 17.

When visiting the microsite, viewers can expect to find a wide variety of features to enhance their festival experience. Using the Broadcast Alert Center, visitors will be able to sign up to receive notifications when artists are performing during AXS TV’s broadcasts, and when new artists have been added to the network’s broadcast lineup. Followers of AXS TV’s social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Cyber Dust can receive messages alerting them to the latest breaking festival news, as well. Each festival broadcast will also feature a minute-by-minute broadcast lineup.

Additionally, viewers can brush up on their festival trivia with in-depth blogs presenting facts and information about past festivals and performing artists. These posts will also feature history covering how these festivals started, and provide useful tourist tidbits highlighting things to do when in town for each festival. Viewers will be invited to share their thoughts and opinions on the microsite’s social interaction page (powered by Wayin), aggregating tweets from fans and artists during each event, using #AXSCoachella, #AXSStagecoach, #AXSJazzFest, #HomeOnTheRange, and #AXSFirefly. This section will also detail what’s trending at that moment, and contain interactive polls that viewers can start participating in during the microsite’s launch.

“With this dynamic new microsite, AXS TV has crafted an all-encompassing environment where fans can find the latest news on their favorite artists, and view complete updated performance schedules, all throughout this unprecedented festival season,” said Jeff Cuban, executive vice president of AXS TV. “This is the ultimate companion piece for our festival coverage, and I’m excited to share this incredible experience with our viewers.”
