The leaders of the geekdom announce WonderCon panels, signings, and more!
March 30, 2015 – Los Angeles, CA – It’s time to kick of another year at WonderCon filled with all the panels, signings, and geekery that Anaheim can handle. The Nerdist and Geek & Sundry teams will be front and center at Booth #1612 from 12-7p Friday, 10a-7p Saturday, and 10:30a-5p Sunday, including fan signings with Chris Hardwick, Felicia Day, and Jessica Chobot, and panels with the top nerds in gaming, science, and more. The booth will be stocked with Nerdist and Geek & Sundry merchandise and giveaways included con-exclusive Nerdist sunglasses and temporary tattoos, Magic: The Gathering swag to celebrate Geek & Sundry’s Season 3 of Spellslingers, and more! Throw in live editions of Nerdist News, Nerdist Writers Panel, and Geek & Sundry Trivia and you’re looking at a nerd weekend of…wonder.
Friday, April 3
12:30 – 1:15pm (Booth #1612) – Meet and greet with Geek & Sundry’s Twitch Overlord Zac Eubank and the lovely Twitch host, Becca Scott.
1:30 – 2:00pm (Booth #1612) – The leading lady of Nerdist News, Jessica Chobot, stops by for a fan meet & greet.
3:30 – 4:15pm (Booth #1612) – Meet & greet with Geek & Sundry Twitch Hosts Hector Navarro & Ify Nwadiwe.
5:00 – 5:30pm (Booth #1612) – Meet and greet with the Nerdist News Crew.
6:30 – 7:30pm (Room 300DE) – Join the Geek & Sundry Twitch channel crew in a trivia battle with you, the audience! The Geek & Sundry Trivia Game will test your geek culture knowledge and award you the chance to win a prize from the highly sought after, Limited Edition International TableTop Day Promo Kit.
7:30 – 8:20pm (Room 208) – Jessica Chobot and the Nerdist News team will go live to bring you the latest in movie, TV, comic book, gaming, and tech news. Get a front row seat to the day’s news and special guests before they turn the questions (and jokes!) over to the audience.
8:20 – 9:10pm (Room 208) – Nerdist Gaming editor Malik Forte takes the stage with special guests for a look ahead at the upcoming year in gaming covering everything from next-gen systems to the state of gaming culture.
Saturday, April 4
11:30am – 12:30pm (Room 300DE) – Felicia Day chats with you about her upcoming projects, the latest happenings at Geek & Sundry, and gives a sneak peek at her book, You’re Never Weird on the Internet (Almost).
1:00 – 2:00pm (Booth #1612) – Felicia Day will be heading over to booth #1612 after her panel to meet and greet with fans.
7:30 – 9:10pm (Room 208) – Join Ben Blacker and Heath Corson for back-to-back panels. First up is the Nerdist Comics Panel talking art, film, writing and more with the talent behind today’s biggest titles. Then, Ben and Heath take you inside the processes of your favorite TV creators in a special live version of The Nerdist Writers Panel.
9:10 – 10:00pm (Room 208) – Ben Blacker, Ben Acker, and members of the Workjuice Players take you inside the world of The Thrilling Adventure Hour.
Sunday, April 5
11:00 – 12:00pm (Arena) – The grand pooba of nerds, Chris Hardwick, is joined by Nerdist’s Jessica Chobot, Brian Walton, Dan Casey, Malik Forte, Matt Grosinger, Kyle Hill, and Rachel Heine to talk all things Nerdist Industries and take ‘quemments’ from the audience. Special guest, Justin Willman, will be on hand to wow the audience with his magic and wits.
12:30 – 2:00pm (Booth #1612) – Chris Hardwick will be hanging out at Booth #1612 to sign babies and kiss autographs. Now’s your time to get in on one of his epic selfies!
2:00 – 3:00pm (Room 209) – Nerdist Science editor Kyle Hill joins a neuroscientist Ricardo Gil da Costa, psychopharmacologist Jessica Cail, and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s Preston Dyches to discuss the science behind your favorite fandoms from Star Wars to dragons and answer audience questions.
2:00 – 2:30pm (Booth #1612) – Comedian/Magician Justin Willman will be at the booth to add a little extra wonder to your con.
3:00 – 3:30pm (Booth #1612) – Jessica Chobot is back for more fun with fans.
